Mastercard Uses the Billboards of Times Square to Entertain New Year’s Eve Revelers

Every year, millions of people gather in Times Square to celebrate the New
 Year. They’re trapped for hours waiting for the ball to drop.

Mastercard 
decided to wish them all a happy new year by entertaining them with 
a series of 12 charming animated stories, one for each month of
 the year. The stories celebrated Mother’s Day, Gay Pride Day, the arrival of spring and other priceless moments to come. But what made it unique was the way that the special limitations of the billboards—like windows and weird
 shapes—were designed right into the stories.
